About the Role:

The Electrician is responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of electrical systems in residential properties under the facilities management contract. The role involves ensuring that electrical systems are safe, efficient, and compliant with regulatory standards. The Electrician will also respond to service requests, perform preventive maintenance, and support energy efficiency initiatives within the residential properties.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems.
  • Respond to service requests related to power failures, short circuits, and electrical faults.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on wiring, lighting systems, circuit breakers, and distribution boards.
  • Install, upgrade, and replace electrical components, including switches, sockets, and electrical panels.
  • Execute Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) as scheduled and directed by the supervisor.
  • Conduct daily inspections of critical electrical assets and maintain accurate records.
  • Complete corrective and reactive maintenance tasks within the specified timeframe.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, standards, and local codes.
  • Maintain emergency lighting, UPS systems, and backup power equipment.
  • Support energy efficiency initiatives through the installation of LED lighting and energy-saving devices.
  • Update maintenance records and reports through the CAFM system.
  • Conduct risk assessments and follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams and contractors to support facility operations.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or ITI Certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Valid electrical license or certification as required by local regulations.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Electrician in residential, commercial, or facilities management environments.
  • Experience in property maintenance, community housing, or high-rise residential buildings is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, and power distribution networks.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting electrical faults and carrying out repairs efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers, and power analyzers.
  • Good understanding of electrical safety regulations, permits, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.

Pay: QAR2,500.00 - QAR3,500.00 per month
