Full job description
A Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems, smoke detectors, control panels, and related equipment.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of fire alarm systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of fire alarm systems.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
- Identify faults and carry out necessary repairs or replacements.
- Ensure all installations comply with project specifications, safety standards, and regulations.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians during project execution.
- Prepare reports regarding maintenance, testing, and system issues.
- Follow company safety procedures and wear proper PPE during work.
