About the Role

The Head of Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting will be responsible for leading and growing the company's Fire Protection Division, overseeing all technical, commercial, operational, and business development activities related to Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting Systems.

The role is focused on creating value for the company by driving revenue growth, securing new projects, developing strategic partnerships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading high-performing teams. The successful candidate will act as the division leader, responsible for both business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the division's business strategy, growth plans, and annual objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability by securing new projects, maintenance contracts, and service agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, facility management companies, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting sector.
  • Lead all technical and operational activities related to Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting, Suppression Systems, Fire Pumps, Sprinklers, and Life Safety Systems.
  • Oversee project design, authority approvals, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with QCDD requirements, NFPA standards, and all applicable local regulations.
  • Review technical proposals, tenders, BOQs, shop drawings, and project specifications.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, timelines, and overall division performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop technical, project, and commercial teams.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to support business growth.
  • Report division performance, business opportunities, and strategic initiatives to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fire Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting, and Fire Protection Systems.
  • Mandatory UPDA/MMUP Engineering Classification (Grade A, B, or C).
  • Mandatory QCDD Fire Alarm Engineer Certification.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA Standards, Qatar Civil Defence requirements, and authority approval procedures.
  • Proven experience in Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Fighting Systems, Fire Pumps, Sprinkler Systems, Suppression Systems, Testing & Commissioning, and Maintenance.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, project acquisition, and revenue generation.
  • Strong network with consultants, contractors, developers, facility management companies, and project stakeholders in Qatar.
  • Experience in tendering, estimation, technical proposals, and commercial negotiations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Valid Qatar Driving License is preferred.
