FURNITURE CARPENTER / TEAM LEADER (Project Handling with Minimal Supervision)

Job Summary:

The Furniture Carpenter / Team Leader is responsible for carrying out high-quality carpentry works while leading a team of workers and overseeing project execution from start to finish. The role requires the ability to work independently, manage manpower and materials, coordinate with supervisors and clients, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and according to quality standards with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform all types of carpentry work, including installation, fabrication, repair, and finishing. And clearly knows how to make a furniture from start to finish.

* Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

* Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and helpers on assigned projects.

* Plan daily work activities and allocate tasks to team members efficiently.

* Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to schedule and quality requirements.

* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow.

* Conduct site measurements and prepare material requirements before work begins.

* Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and machinery.

* Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications and company standards.

* Identify and resolve site issues independently with minimal supervision.

* Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety procedures and company policies.

* Train and mentor junior carpenters and helpers to improve their skills and productivity.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role.

* Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and construction methods.

* Ability to read construction drawings and technical plans.

* Proven experience in handling projects independently with minimal supervision.

* Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

* Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.

* Physically fit and capable of performing manual work when required.

Preferred Skills:

* Project planning and coordination.

* Team leadership and workforce management.

* Material estimation and inventory control.

* Quality control and inspection.

* Time management and decision-making.

* Ability to troubleshoot on-site issues efficiently.

* Proficiency in using carpentry tools and power equipment.

This role combines hands-on carpentry expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure successful project completion while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: QAR1,000.00 - QAR2,500.00 per month
