Job Summary
The Auto Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical and air conditioning systems in vehicles, heavy equipment, and machinery. The role ensures all electrical and A/C components operate efficiently and safely to minimize downtime and maintain operational reliability.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical System Maintenance & Repair
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in vehicles, trucks, buses, and heavy equipment.
- Install, repair, and maintain wiring systems, circuits, relays, switches, and control units.
- Inspect and troubleshoot starter motors, alternators, batteries, and charging systems.
- Repair and replace lighting systems, indicators, horns, sensors, and electronic components.
- Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Perform preventive maintenance on vehicle electrical systems.
Automotive Air Conditioning (A/C) Systems
- Diagnose faults in vehicle air conditioning and climate control systems.
- Repair or replace compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and related components.
- Conduct refrigerant recovery, vacuuming, leak testing, and gas charging.
- Check system pressures and ensure proper cooling performance.
- Maintain records of refrigerant usage and service activities.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety requirements related to refrigerants.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting
- Use diagnostic scanners and testing equipment to identify electrical and electronic faults.
- Perform system testing after repairs to verify proper operation.
- Troubleshoot electronic control modules (ECM/ECU), sensors, and communication systems.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Auto Electrician with vehicle A/C maintenance.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and diagnostics.
- Knowledge of vehicle air conditioning systems and refrigerant handling.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Experience with passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, generators, or heavy equipment preferred.
- Gulf/Qatar experience is an advantage.
- Workshop and field-based work environment.
- May require overtime, shift work, and emergency breakdown response.
- Exposure to heat, noise, dust, and mechanical equipment.
Pay: QAR2,000.00 - QAR3,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
