FURNITURE CARPENTER

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Carpenter who can independently manufacture high-quality furniture from start to finish. The successful candidate must be experienced in reading drawings, selecting materials, fabricating components, assembling furniture, and performing final finishing while ensuring excellent workmanship and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Read and interpret shop drawings, sketches, and technical specifications.

* Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, and other materials or type of wood according to project requirements.

* Construct custom furniture such as cabinets, wardrobes, tables, chairs, shelves, counters, and other woodwork from raw materials to finished products.

* Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently, including table saws, routers, planers, sanders, drills, and edge banding machines.

* Install hardware such as hinges, drawer slides, locks, handles, and fittings.

* Perform sanding, finishing preparation, and quality inspections to ensure a professional appearance.

* Repair or modify existing furniture when required.

* Ensure all dimensions, alignments, and finishes meet company and client standards.

* Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment.

* Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.

* Coordinate with supervisors and other team members to complete projects within deadlines.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience as a Furniture Carpenter or Cabinet Maker.

* Ability to produce furniture independently from raw materials through final assembly and finishing.

* Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, tools, and machinery.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately.

* Good attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

* Physically fit and capable of lifting materials and standing for extended periods.

* Vocational training or certification in carpentry is an advantage.

Skills:

Note : SALARY WILL VARY ON YOUR EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: QAR1,000.00 - QAR2,000.00 per month
