AI Engineer Intern (Finance Systems)
We are looking for a hands-on AI Engineer Intern to help design and build an intelligent financial scoring system. This role is ideal for students, recent graduates, or job seekers who are eager to apply AI and programming skills in a real-world engineering environment.
Role Overview
You will work on developing a financial scoring engine powered by AI, focusing on building, testing, and improving REST API-based systems. This is a practical, execution-focused internship where you will research, prototype, and implement solutions while working within weekly sprint cycles.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop a financial scoring engine using REST APIs.
- Research and apply AI techniques to enhance financial modeling and decision systems.
- Generate and test hundreds of sample inputs to validate scoring accuracy and system behavior.
- Continuously improve and extend system logic, including parameter weighting and output variation.
- Plan weekly tasks, report progress, and communicate blockers proactively.
- Collaborate with mentors and seek guidance when needed to overcome technical challenges.
- Utilize AI coding assistants and tools to accelerate development where appropriate.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, or .NET preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity for tackling complex engineering challenges.
- Basic understanding of APIs and backend system development.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks within a weekly sprint structure.
- Interest in AI applications and financial systems.

Expected Outcomes
By the end of the internship, you will:
- Deliver a functional REST API-based financial scoring system.
