Job Title: Broadcast Journalist

Location: Doha, Qatar
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Rotational schedule (including breaking news coverage)
Al Jazeera Media Network is seeking a talented Broadcast Journalist to deliver high-quality news content across television and digital platforms. In this role, you will research, write, and present news stories while maintaining the organization’s global journalistic standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, write, and present news stories
- Conduct interviews with sources and experts
- Cover live events and breaking news
- Collaborate with editors, producers, and technical teams
- Ensure accuracy, fairness, and editorial standards
- Produce content for digital and social media platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
- Experience in broadcast or digital journalism preferred
- Strong writing and storytelling skills
- Excellent communication and on-camera presence
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
Work Hours
Typical schedules may include:
- Day shifts and night shifts depending on news coverage
- Rotational schedule including weekends and holidays
Compensation & Hourly Pay (Qatar)
Estimated Monthly Salary: QAR 12,000 – QAR 20,000
Estimated Hourly Pay: QAR 70 – QAR 115/hour
