Great Place to Work
Retail Associate Manager (Current Employee) - Minnesota - January 26, 2023
This place is a great place to work. In retail you will have retail hours. Required to work weekends, and this is a sales job, so making sure that you’re doing your best to sell service and products is a must.

Decent place to start sales work at
Retail Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Melbourne, FL - January 12, 2023
Only worked here for about 2 months before dealing with health issues. The job itself was decent and I believe it’s a good job to start your sales career with as you learn the basics of customer interactions while pitching sales to them. Management was nice and provided lots of support in the short time I worked there. The only thing I disliked was the commute, which was a 2 hour bike ride from my residence to the location. So for a total of 4 hours.
Pros
Management and Pay
Cons
The commute (rode on bicycle for 2 hours)

Hostile environment created by inexperienced commission sales manager. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Assisting new and existing customers with their phone service and or products.

Good job and benefits
Retail Associate Manager (Former Employee) - Pittsburgh, PA - December 23, 2022
The work here is fun and engaging. Your success will be dependent on your store manager and district managers. There are many out there who are very cliquey and play favorites. Work life balance depends on your store manager and whether they are checked out or hands on.

Good place to work.
Retail Associate Manager (Current Employee) - Oklahoma - December 6, 2022
It gives you the option to create a career and climb the corporate ladder or if it’s just for a short time you still benefit from working with the company. If your working with a solid management team you have flexible schedule, opportunity to make your own money, build customer service skills and personally challenge yourself. You given all the tools necessary to be successful in your position if you choose to work for Corporate T-Mobile.

High potential to make money
Retail Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Lincolnwood, IL - November 19, 2022
The culture on the corporate side is great. At the end of the day they are a sales organization but the pay structure is great, awesome benefits, and the potential to make great income if you are sales focused.

Some good benefits
RETAIL ASSOCIATE MANAGER (Current Employee) - Denver, CO - November 15, 2022
Pay is pretty good. Generous PTO, good benefits, and culture is good. Retail is a tough landscape now. A lot more demand on leadership in which pay does not reflect. Also, there is not much room for promotion.

Workplace is a toxic cult culture
Retail Associate Manager (Former Employee) - Lehigh Valley, PA - November 14, 2022
It's very sad what has happened to T-Mobile. It used to be a fun place to work until they started putting profits over people. They have embraced the worst of Sprint and made the company unrecognizable.

Its okay
Retail Sales Associate (Current Employee) - Ohio - November 8, 2022
Very repetitive, pay is okay at best, its a good job for sure, great for entry level. Anyone who knows technology very well and can operate in high stress situations can do this job.

Fun place to work
Retail Mobile Associate (Former Employee) - Agoura Hills, CA - November 5, 2022
I think working at T-Mobile gave me a lot of skills that I have taken and used in jobs that I have had since quitting. The employee culture was also very friendly and open.

Politcs
Retail Consultant (Former Employee) - California - November 2, 2022
In theory T-mobile appears to be a great company to work for. Yet, most of the managment staff has been around for 8 years and beyond. Most are not motivated to promote to the next level. So there is not a real opportunity to grow for the staff under them. Sometimes the way managment wants you to help customers is impracticable and not good for the customer. They are very much rule based and not people focused.

Sales Reps are great
Retail Associate Manager (Former Employee) - New Jersey - October 27, 2022
great place to meet others. reps are great. reps should be paid more on commission. reps should be paid more on hourly, most stores are understaff, most managers don't help the sales floor

Retail Sales Associate (Current Employee) - Maple Shade, NJ - October 22, 2022
What is the best part of working at the company? Employee discount on cell phone bill What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Pressure to aggressively sell products to make sales quota or face being written up What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Stressful. As a "frontline employee" in a retail store you feel extreme pressure to sell products and services to people that may not even need them to achieve your sales goals for the month. Failing to do so for consecutive months leads to being written up and possible termination.

It’s who you know not what you know
Retail Associate Manager (Former Employee) - San Antonio, TX - October 19, 2022
Favoritism .. if your buddy buddy with the right person you can get away with not hitting your monthly quota or you can move up quickly. If you work hard and go the extra drive you will be looked over.

Fires employees who make mistakes
Senior Retail Sales Consultant (Former Employee) - Fond du Lac, WI - October 19, 2022
company does nothing to help you if you're struggling in life. Will throw you under bus as soon as they are able to. They will build up track record of every mistake you've ever done and constantly hold it over your head against you. They do not recognize you when you do well and also deny their employees unemployment if it's filed a little late. Meaning they would rather let you die and not be able to pay bills than give you unemployment benefits.
Pros
Learn how to sell on your own because they don't teach you a thing about selling
Cons
Have to be perfect, mistakes aren't allowed

Good work life balance
Retail Associate Manager (Current Employee) - Hesperia, CA - October 16, 2022
Good work life balance. Pay is not that great. Sometimes senior managment does their own thing instead of adhering to actual tmobile expectations. You can be written up and even fired for not selling a certain amount every month.
