A typical day at work:
Review urgent e-mails and follow up.
Perform assigned task on time with the required quality.
Attend project meetings, seminars and presentations.
Attend scheduled assigned Training courses, and apply at work.
Help colleagues to solve their problems.
Cooperate with project team to achieve the targets on time.
What I learned:
How to solve problems for major project development.
How to develop major projects and feasibility studies systematically and conform to the Directorate procedures.
How to manage my time to perform all the assigned works and manage all the contractors timely.
How to optimize the works and delegate amongst team colleagues.
Management (through my supervisor - an assistant manager).
Other senior engineers and engineers, technical assistants and secretaries.
Colleagues in other departments within the Directorate and other Corporate Directorate colleagues.
The hardest part of the job:
To perform multi-tasks on time with the required quality.
To communicate with all the co-workers efficiently, and share ideas and information optimally, and more importantly - to convince others when their concepts or ideas are incorrect or sub-optimal.
