Parsons is a very good company in terms of productivity, professionalism, career growth and being self reliant (confidence). You get a sense of belonging as an employee and team work is a strength that serves as back bone of operation, not forgetting the absolute coordination and well organized atmosphere that makes it appealing. However, the salary is meagre and barely enough to cater for your needs or justify your working for a reputable company. To make it worse, there is no job security, everyone is disposable. The company’s recruiter operates like a “mafia”, they prefer to take new people because of incentives attached, 500$ for new employee, than retaining their best people for the job.

A very good and friendly environment

Parsons is an excellent place to work for. Employees are very friendly and helpful to each other. People never shy away from teaching others. I joined as a junior engineer and learned a lot over the years from the senior and the principal Enginners.

Great pay, great employees

Great company, with great pay. HR can be very unhelpful at times when needed, but other than that, it’s a great company. Another issue can be the schedule, you work a schedule called Dupount, and it is a very confusing schedule.

Easy Work/poor management

As a traveler the work is pretty simple and wouldn't consider real electrical work. A seasoned electrician would be ideal for this type of work if you're not looking to do big jobs anymore. The pay could be better. They like to give false promises just to hire anyone to fill a spot so one person may get stuck doing all the work. Management tries to get people work extra hours without providing overtime pay. PMs like to push their responsibilities onto the field workers. Discussing any problems with certain people is not advised because no one cannot be trusted. Only allowed to visit home once then after that approval is needed so if you don't plan on going home for months on end then this place would be for you.

Goal oriented

The plant I supported was transitioning from start-up to Operations. The managers and co-workers were very motivated to see the project through completion. I enjoyed working on the Salt Waste Process Facility at Savannah River Site.

Productive and challenging

Work there for over twelve years in a productive and challenging position as a test engineer. Management was very responsive and respectful. But there was very little upward mobility in the position/organization.

Clean workplace, good pay and benefits

Good base pay and shift differential pay. Excellent benefits, paid time off, and profit sharing program. Work place is clean, management is fair. Would recommend.

Good pay, decent atmosphere

Work is fairly easy, can be boring while waiting for laser to finish job. Coworkers and management are nice overall. Warehouse and work areas are clean.

Good company to work . however some staff members are not cooperative. Relationship with clients, Parsons need to be improved. Interviewer should hired better staff.

Parsons have a good supervision team and professional

Parsons have a good management team member and adminstration team also, safrty is top priority in Parsons supervision team and design team are working very honestly and hard.

Fast paced busy work environment with lots of travel

Exactly what job description detailed - lots of travel and long hours. Staff complain about travel and overtime but that is what is required. Busy workplace but great management (intermediate and senior) who address issues when raised as concerns.

Good project but bad job security

Has very good projects but there is big problem of charging your weekly hours. Office environment is very loud. Management is rudeOffice location is good. Shops and mosque is nearby.

Not being sure where your career stands once a major project is completed.

Once you have completed a major project, it's up to you to find a new job within the company. Your manager or supervisor will reach out to other project manager, but if there's no position available, then expect to be released. After being a contractor for this company for over 10+ years then excepting a full time (W2) employment with them, I assumed, I would have job security, and a place to retire. This has happened to other people within the company.

High turnover. Constant travel. Zero work-life balance. Micromanaging.

Absolutely thankless job with zero work-life balance with long hours and constant travel to undesirable places with low salary. Extreme levels of micromanaging with bad job security. Top heavy management promoted through means of nepotism so if you aren't being a teacher's pet for condescending senior management there is zero career advancement.Something is very wrong when you have to rebuild the entire field staff every year, and all of the current staff are already half-way out the door.

What stands out about Parsons is their team mentality and having events to really chill everybody in the whole building

Parsons had innovative ideas on how to bring everybody together to enjoy work. There was a balance in that they worked hard and played hard. From renting out a movie theater for employees and their family, to employees cooking up breakfast once a month at Waffle-palooza, to paint night in the conference room (the list is endless), you really felt like family and really looked forward to destressing after putting in your best work. Pay was good, and opportunities to better the org were there-but advancement was null. It was still a good place to work.

Local office has terrible management!

Management either micro-manages processes or manages in absentia. There is no mid-level management and as a result there is no organization. Staff are valuable assets but are treated as “tools” and have been referred to as such by management!

Great Company

Chill environment, great perks. Respectful and very appreciative. Big corporate environment and not micromanaging. You have some free time to learn and grow in the area you like.
