Every department fights with each other and the customer has a front row seat to how unorganized our teams are. We lose focus to often on the problems the jobs create, and spend tons of time trying to pass the issue to someone more competent to deal with whatever issue is accruing. I have watched emails reached the region vice president over the smallest of issues. The problems are many and the few that can solve them are overworked and under paid. We lose tons of great talent because of the abuse nature of management. HR is a joke and it's not funny.
That you work for an international brand.
culture, management, feuding departments and etc
You will grow professionaly because due to high turnover there will be a need for you to fill other gaps in the organization. Look at it as an opportunity to gain some valuable experience you can put on your resume.
Salary way above industry standards
Zero work like balance
Es una excelente empresa para trabajar y desarrollarte.
Too much turnover, local and area management don’t supply their employees w/ the appropriate training and expect you to do more w/ less and figure everything out on your own. Area management controls all aspects of local branches and has total control over HR, it’s very sad to see a good global company being ran so unprofessional in the local area.
The Corporate vision is there however, the execution, direction and support via regional management centers is missing! This company needs to have a better hands on top/down reset to personally lead progress. There is no-one there at this time to provide that leadership.
The leadership team is very misleading and out right lies about compensation for roles with in the National Accounts organization. It is near impossible to see working processes deliver great service to National Account customers.
Free doughnuts during EOM
Just about everything else.
Johnson Controls is a great company to work for. Depending in which country you're working in, management could have their ups and downs, but mostly they try to live the companies values.
International major projects exposure
Management depending in which country you work in
I enjoyed working at Johnson Controls, the people were very friendly. There was a great diversity among employees. We worked in teams and supported each other. Training for Ethics was standard and everyone understood it and followed it.
Call Center both in and outbound work. Non-Stop work. Management isn't very good, not that the managers don't try just they are not given the resources or the time to work with their teams. New Hires into any position are paid more than tenured employee's. Stable Employment if you can follow the attendance policy.
This company is underway with fixing the issues in the areas that were neglected for years. No scheduled PM's were completed over the past few hears and the facility has taken a toll.
Management team was good
not always focused on how others are working. only see one side of the situation
There is little if any work life balance. If you are a salaried employee, you can expect to never less than 50 hours/ week, including weekends and holidays/ vacation. Future employment is unclear and management does not address it, lack of communication and honesty from management leaves office environment in an extremely stressful state. Not the Johnson Controls it once was. Some good employees still there, but many have been let go/ left for more secure and less stressful opportunities.Open requisitions were frozen. Employees are overworked. Annual Cost of living adjustments and raises were frozen, maybe in July, but employee confidence is they will not materialize.
Some good employees still remain
Benefits have deteriorated, annual increases & open req's are frozen, employees are over worked and future is uncertain. High Stress, lack of work life balance
Working hard and long hours might not get rewarded. Very confusing time at JCI as company struggles to figure out what direction they want to take. Constantly pulled in different directions. One day you are told to concentrate on one thing, next they you are told to forget it and concentrate on something else. Lots of cheating with approval agencies.
You do not get vacation, each year you must earn it.
JCI has lost sight of the company culture it had before merging with Tyco. During the merge, senior leadership proclaimed managers would be team and employee focused. Unfortunately FY18 has only been about the P&L. Current culture indicates employees are expendable and not valued for their efforts.
Truly a unique and positive work environment, co-workers are your family (partially because you see them more than your family), challenging assignments, freedom to be innovative.
Amazing Co-workers, stable business
Disconnected leaders, limited resources, no standardized systems
