Pay & benefitsGood benefits , low initial pay , thanks to the Union and longevity , ending pay was respectableOverallMy experience working at Johnson Controls was ok or wouldn't have stayed for 29 years , p er personally, not a fan of fast paced environment
absolutly the worst enviroment ive ever worked in and i worked in a slaughterhouse for years when i was younger
Worst place i've worked in my whole life and im 49 sheet metal and production is my background so i took a job in that area and did my job requirement and then some as i was taught at a early age ,but there 2cd.and 3rd shift managers and there leads are rude and disrespectful to anyone that is not there chosen cronnie or old friends and im mean honestly will make you scratch your head in bewilderment to watch there behavior and verbal abuse of the employees .the hiring on situation was 0 while i worked there the pay is below average for the work load and the way your treated there is 2 ten minute breaks and a 20 min lunch so basically no time to eat or rest your brain so don't expect it ,which is fine for 8 hour shifts but not for the sweat shop moral and the way people treat each other is just the worst you will come in ready and high spirited and leave angry enough to kick puppys on a scale of 1 to 10 i give it a 2 which is generous if you do go to work there im sorry but this is fair and honest of my time there in the sheet metal production area and i'm still the but actively looking for a better environment to earn a living for my family .there are some nice people there but mabey 2 out of 10 the new ones mostly ,don't be afraid to snap back when your treated terrible cause your valuable and they know it there turn over is extreme.....
there is none mabey the free ice machine even the cafeteria is over priced
everything about it is depressing its a miserable place to try and earn a living
Problems; Union, supervisors, 7 days a week with maybe 2 days off in one month. 2-4 days will be 12 hour shifts. If you call out with a note, you still get a 1/2 of a point to your record. For example; I went in to work on my third month since I was hired, I had to leave early due too an asthma attack from the air I wasn’t used to in the warehouse from battery acid not being mmventilated properly.
The pay is not good you don't get paid for what you are worth everybody makes the same amount and get the same amount for a raise. I feel the harder and better you work the more you should be making, when there are people who half do work, missing days, not willing to help others and etc but are making the same as me which is not right. Crazy hours where getting stuck with and never know your schedule until the Friday before the upcoming week and sometime they get changed threw out the week. I wouldn't recommend this job to anybody. The parking lot is terrible. I feel the distribution center is not taking good care of like the primary building.
Managers are in control and mostly family based at the top leading positions. Always outside advancement opportunities never an inside advancement. Unorganized majority of the time, no encouragement, people bring home attitudes to work. HR is more helpful to the company because they're more understanding with the job and what life throws at you.
Week management and over worked supervisor who use employees . I wood not recommended this Job until they get new management . The work is easy the hours are cool if when they have parts. But they can’t seem to keep parts so you might get 20 hours a week.
Fast paced work environment team High Hang load and unload placing parts in Baskets or on pallets transported by forklift to next task, load parts into oven set Oven Temperature start oven operation.
Give aways company pinic free T shor
Hot work environment long hours
The most enjoyable part of the job is the kind people that are around you and also the managers have good understanding and if you have any issues outside and inside of work
The pros is the pay is very good
The cons is that you do a lot of overtime
