The Tour Guide is responsible for guiding visitors and guests, providing clear and engaging information about local history, culture, heritage, geography, nature, attractions, and activities. The position requires strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to manage groups and create a professional, informative, and enjoyable experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct tours for individuals and groups.
• Welcome guests and provide an introduction to the tour and itinerary.
• Explain local history, culture, traditions, heritage, geography, and attractions.
• Present information clearly, accurately, and in an engaging manner.
• Answer guests’ questions and provide relevant information and recommendations.
• Manage and supervise tour groups throughout the visit.
• Ensure guests follow safety instructions and tour guidelines.
• Maintain the planned schedule and coordinate tour activities.
• Communicate with drivers, photographers, activity staff, and other team members when required.
• Assist guests with general information and logistical needs.
• Handle unexpected situations professionally and report significant issues to management.
• Collect guest feedback and communicate observations to management.
• Promote responsible tourism and respect for local culture, heritage, communities, and the environment.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Perform other duties related to tourism and guest services as assigned.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Education, Teaching, Languages, History, Geography, Cultural Studies, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
• A background in Education or Teaching is strongly preferred.
• Training or certification in Tour Guiding, Tourism, Hospitality, Customer Service, or First Aid is an advantage.

Professional Experience

• Previous professional experience as a Teacher or Educator is required or highly preferred.
• Teaching experience should demonstrate the ability to explain information clearly, communicate with different audiences, deliver presentations, and manage groups effectively.
• Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, customer service, cultural activities, or tour guiding is an advantage but is not mandatory.
• Experience working with international visitors or diverse groups is an advantage.
