The Center for People with Disabilities in Qatar is pleased to invite applications for the position of Shadow Teacher & Assistant Teacher to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary team.

This role presents a meaningful opportunity for a committed and compassionate professional who is passionate about supporting students with disabilities and contributing to their academic, social, emotional, and personal development within an inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized academic and behavioral support to students with Disabilities
  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing learning activities and individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Support students in developing communication, social interaction, and daily living skills.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, specialists, and parents to ensure student progress and wellbeing.
  • Monitor and document student performance, behavior, and developmental progress.
  • Encourage student independence, confidence, and participation in classroom and school activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with children with disabilities is highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
