System Support Officer jobs

We are looking for an IT Officer to manage and support our IT infrastructure and provide technical support for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Traffic Control Projects. The candidate will support office and project-site IT requirements and coordinate with technical, project, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain computers, laptops, servers, printers, network equipment, and other IT infrastructure.
• Provide day-to-day IT support and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Configure and maintain LAN/WAN, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, VPN, and network connectivity.
• Manage user accounts, email, access permissions, backups, and basic IT security.
• Maintain IT asset records, software licenses, and system documentation.
• Provide IT/network support for ITS and Traffic Management projects.
• Support project systems including CCTV, VMS (Variable Message Signs), traffic monitoring systems, control rooms, servers, and communication networks.
• Assist with installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of IT/network infrastructure at project sites.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
• Provide on-site support and travel to project locations when required.

Requirements

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant IT experience.
• Experience in ITS, traffic management, infrastructure, construction, or engineering projects is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of networking, Windows systems, hardware/software troubleshooting, and IT infrastructure.
• Knowledge of CCTV, VMS, servers, network communication, or control room systems is an advantage.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and under project deadlines.
• Willingness to work at project sites when required.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA, or Microsoft are an advantage.
• Valid driving license is an advantage.

Pay: QAR4,000.00 - QAR5,000.00 per month
