As an Accountant at ConocoPhillips Qatar, you will help ensure the company's financial operations are accurate, compliant, and efficient. You will work closely with finance teams and business units to prepare financial reports, monitor budgets, analyze costs, and support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced oil and gas environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journal entries, and general ledger accounts.

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions while ensuring timely payments and collections.

Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions.

Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

Prepare financial statempany policies and accounting standards.

Monitor project costs, operating expenses, and budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.

Support internal and external audits by providing financial documentation and responding to audit requests.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial controls, and company policies.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to improve operational efficiency and cost management.

Collaborate with procurement, operations, and commercial teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.

Maintain confidentiality of financial information and contribute to continuous process improvements using financial systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.

Experience in the oil and gas, energy, or multinational corporate sector is an advantage.

Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.

Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar accounting software.

Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills.

Pay: From QAR15,000.00 per month
