Medical Registrar

Salary: QAR 24,000 per month

Job Summary

Prime Portal Medical is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Medical Registrar to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in Doha. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of senior consultants, participate in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, maintain accurate medical documentation, and contribute to clinical excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a physician committed to delivering safe, evidence-based healthcare in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in accordance with established clinical guidelines and best practices.
• Develop and implement treatment plans under the supervision of consultant physicians.
• Conduct patient rounds, monitor clinical progress, and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
• Perform medical procedures within the scope of practice and clinical privileges.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient medical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Request and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other investigations.
• Collaborate with consultants, specialists, nurses, pharmacists, and allied healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and participate in emergency response protocols.
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive healthcare.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) regulations, hospital policies, and international clinical standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, departmental meetings, and continuing medical education programs.
• Supervise and support junior medical staff, interns, and residents when assigned.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Valid medical license or eligibility for registration with the Qatar Ministry of Public Health (MOPH).
• Completion of a recognized residency training program in the relevant medical specialty.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based medicine, clinical protocols, and patient safety standards.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and fast-paced healthcare environment.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Rotating shifts, including weekends, evenings, public holidays, and on-call duties as required by hospital operations.
