Tunnel Operations & Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

Qatar Building Company (QBC) is seeking an experienced Tunnel Operations & Maintenance Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of major tunnel infrastructure projects in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant tunnel operations while leading multidisciplinary teams and maintaining the highest operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations and maintenance of tunnel infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with Ashghal specifications, project requirements, HSE standards, and local regulations.
• Lead and supervise engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
• Develop maintenance strategies and operational plans to maximize system reliability and performance.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource utilization.
• Identify and resolve operational and technical issues.
• Prepare reports and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure contractual obligations and performance KPIs are achieved.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 10–12 years of experience in tunnel infrastructure, operations, and maintenance.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in tunnel operations or maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with tunnel systems and methodologies, including TBM, NATM, Cut & Cover, or Drill & Blast.
• Mandatory experience working on Ashghal projects, with a thorough understanding of Ashghal standards, specifications, and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of Operations Management, Asset Maintenance, HSE, QA/QC, Project Planning, and Contract Administration.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Previous GCC infrastructure project experience is highly preferred.
• Candidates must currently be residing in Qatar and available for a local interview.
