Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Safety Officer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring workplace safety, preventing accidents, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring that all employees follow established safety procedures and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily workplace activities to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
  • Ensure employees follow safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend suitable preventive and corrective measures.
  • Organize and conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness sessions.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports.
  • Ensure proper implementation of safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the condition and proper use of safety equipment.
  • Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and incident documentation.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and project teams to resolve safety-related issues.
  • Ensure emergency exits, fire extinguishers, and emergency equipment are accessible and maintained.
  • Promote safety awareness and a positive safety culture among employees.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4–5 years of relevant experience as a Safety Officer.
  • NEBOSH IGC or IOSH certification is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of workplace safety standards, hazard identification, and risk assessment.
  • Experience in conducting safety inspections and incident investigations.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with different departments.
  • Previous experience in Qatar is an advantage.
