Full job description

Contract Duration: 2–3 Months (Renewable Based on Client Requirement)

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our team for a Processing Plant project in Qatar.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in processing plant environments such as LNG, petrochemical, refinery, fertilizer, chemical, or gas processing facilities.
  • NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
  • IOSH certification is preferred.
  • Experience in shutdown, turnaround, maintenance, construction, or operational projects is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) systems, Risk Assessment, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, Work at Height, Lifting Operations, and Emergency Response.
  • Good communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Valid Qatar ID with transferable visa is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine safety inspections and ensure compliance with project HSE requirements.
  • Monitor work activities and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions for the workforce.
  • Review and verify Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Permit to Work documentation.
  • Monitor high-risk activities including confined space entry, hot work, lifting operations, excavation, and work at height.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Maintain safety records, reports, inspection checklists, and observation reports.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and client representatives to promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement.

Pay: QAR6,000.00 - QAR7,000.00 per month
