Key Responsibilities;

  • Implement and enforce the Radiation Safety Program.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable radiation regulations and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine radiation surveys, area monitoring, and contamination checks.
  • Monitor personnel dosimetry and exposure records.
  • Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials.
  • Maintain records of radiation sources and equipment.
  • Investigate radiation incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct safety training and awareness programs for staff and contractors.
  • Support regulatory inspections, audits, and licensing activities.
  • Ensure calibration and proper use of radiation monitoring instruments.
  • Assist in emergency response planning and drills for radiological incidents.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Health Physics, Nuclear Science, Radiation Protection, or related field.
  • Certification as Radiation Safety Officer (as required by local regulatory authority).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in radiation safety in industrial, medical, oil & gas, or research environment.

Key Competencies

  • Knowledge of radiation safety principles and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to conduct inspections, training, and incident investigations.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Familiarity with radiation monitoring equipment and dosimetry systems.
