Full job description
Key Responsibilities;
- Implement and enforce the Radiation Safety Program.
- Ensure compliance with applicable radiation regulations and safety standards.
- Conduct routine radiation surveys, area monitoring, and contamination checks.
- Monitor personnel dosimetry and exposure records.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials.
- Maintain records of radiation sources and equipment.
- Investigate radiation incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct safety training and awareness programs for staff and contractors.
- Support regulatory inspections, audits, and licensing activities.
- Ensure calibration and proper use of radiation monitoring instruments.
- Assist in emergency response planning and drills for radiological incidents.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Health Physics, Nuclear Science, Radiation Protection, or related field.
- Certification as Radiation Safety Officer (as required by local regulatory authority).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in radiation safety in industrial, medical, oil & gas, or research environment.
Key Competencies
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to conduct inspections, training, and incident investigations.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with radiation monitoring equipment and dosimetry systems.
