Full job description
As an Emergency Medicine Faculty member at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar, you will combine clinical excellence, medical education, and research to train the next generation of physicians. This role is ideal for experienced emergency medicine specialists who are passionate about teaching, mentoring, and advancing academic medicine in an internationally recognized institution.
Key Responsibilities
Co-lead the Emergency Medicine Clerkship for undergraduate medical students.
Teach integrated foundational sciences using lectures, simulation, bedside teaching, problem-based learning, and small-group discussions.
Mentor students in developing clinical reasoning, diagnostic skills, professionalism, and evidence-based decision-making.
Provide emergency medical care to adult patients in affiliated hospital emergency departments.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, patient-centered care.
Conduct clinical, educational, or translational research and contribute to publications, presentations, and grant-funded projects.
Participate in curriculum development, student assessment, and academic service activities.
Support innovation in medical education by incorporating emerging technologies and modern teaching methods.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or an equivalent medical degree.
American Board Certification (or an accepted equivalent) in Emergency Medicine.
At least 3 years of teaching experience in an academic medical center, preferably in North America.
Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, teaching, and scholarly research.
Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, and teamwork skills.
Experience with simulation-based education and modern instructional techniques is highly desirable.
