Mechanical Engineer jobs in Doha

• We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems for industrial and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will ensure that all engineering activities comply with project specifications, applicable codes and standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations while delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, review, and develop mechanical engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Prepare material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor documentation reviews.
• Coordinate with procurement, construction, quality, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review engineering deliverables and ensure compliance with client specifications, international standards, and project requirements.
• Conduct technical evaluations of mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, piping systems, HVAC systems, rotating equipment, and static equipment.
• Monitor project progress and provide engineering support during fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Resolve technical issues arising during project execution and recommend effective engineering solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, constructability reviews, and risk assessments where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, industry regulations, and quality management systems.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to achieve project objectives.
• Prepare engineering reports, progress updates, and technical presentations.
• Support project planning, cost estimation, scheduling, and resource management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and engineering optimization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Professional Engineering certification is an advantage.
• Membership in a recognized engineering institution is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 3–7 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, Industrial, Infrastructure, or EPC projects is highly preferred.
• Experience in mechanical equipment selection, installation, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with international engineering standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, ANSI, and relevant local regulations.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating and static equipment, piping systems, HVAC, and utility systems.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of engineering calculations and mechanical design principles.
• Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, and vendor documentation.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC requirements and engineering documentation.

Pay: QAR23,000.00 - QAR29,000.00 per month

• Do you have experience in engineering design and modification, including reviewing/approving technical deliverables (drawings, calculations, datasheets), developing or reviewing P&IDs/MTOs, performing piping stress analysis, and supporting MOC and technical bid evaluation activities?
