Full job description

A Production Operator (Manufacturing Operator) is responsible for operating machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently. They monitor production lines, perform routine equipment checks, and ensure products meet company quality standards while following workplace safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing machines and production equipment according to standard operating procedures.
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor machines during production runs.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions or production issues.
  • Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and routine equipment checks.
  • Record production data, output, and quality inspection results.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles.
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
  • Assist with material handling, packaging, labeling, and palletizing finished goods.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, maintenance technicians, and quality control personnel to meet production targets.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not always required.
  • Ability to operate machinery and follow written work instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime if required.
