IT Support Engineer – Masraf Al Rayan

Location: Doha, Qatar

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

Masraf Al Rayan is seeking an IT Support Engineer to provide technical support and maintain the bank's IT infrastructure. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues while helping ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first- and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, business applications, and banking software.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, email, and system issues.
  • Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions using Active Directory.
  • Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, VPN, and remote access solutions.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, upgrades, and security patching.
  • Configure and maintain network devices, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
  • Respond to IT service desk requests and maintain accurate support documentation.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives, endpoint protection, and IT asset management.
  • Assist with business continuity and disaster recovery activities.
  • Ensure compliance with information security policies and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or systems administration, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, TCP/IP networking, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, cybersecurity principles, and endpoint management tools is an advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified, ITIL Foundation, or Cisco CCNA are desirable.
  • Strong analytical, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
