Job Summary

The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering technology projects across the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and governance capabilities to successfully manage complex IT initiatives, including vendor-led projects.

Responsibilities

§ Manage all phases of projects: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure

§ Defining project scope and objectives, managing budgets and resources, coordinating the project team, communicating with stakeholders, and managing risks and issues.

§ Develop overall project timelines and key milestones; ensure teams meet critical dates leveraging Project Management software

§ Sets direction and communicates a clear vision of the projects and motivates the project team to achieve them.

§ Creating a project environment that enables peak performance by team members: open disclosure of issues, alignment of project goals, coaching to clarify deliverables, escalation procedures, etc.

§ Ensuring a strong relationship with the business owner and key stakeholders of the project.

§ Ensures that the project is aligned with customer expectations and facilitates project steerco meetings for project decision making and highlighting key updates to the main stakeholders.

§ Act as the intermediary between the technical team and non-technical stakeholders, including customers and management, to keep everyone informed.

§ Facilitate decision-making, arbitrate impasses, remove barriers and ultimately drive projects to completion

§ Work with team to identify and execute cost savings opportunities

§ Coordinates with relevant stakeholders to ensure that appropriate timing, resources, and sequencing of the work efforts are aligned to produce the desired result according to the project schedule.

Qualifications

§ Bachelor in IT or relevant

§ Relevance will be reviewed and confirmed by ISD in line with technical competencies of applicant.

§ Project Management Institute (PMI), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other IT industry project management certification preferred

Experience

  • 7-10 years’ experience in similar skill set
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written) in English and preferably in Arabic
  • Experience in managing complex projects including vendor management preferred.
  • Experience in using project management tools
