Job Summary

Yasmine Palace is a fine-dining restaurant dedicated to delivering exceptional culinary and hospitality experiences. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Purchasing Coordinator with experience in Qatar, preferably within the food & beverage (F&B) or hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, managing supplier relationships, monitoring orders, and ensuring the timely procurement of quality products and materials to support daily restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily purchasing activities to ensure the timely availability of goods, supplies, and materials required for restaurant operations.
• Source and communicate with suppliers to obtain competitive quotations, negotiate prices, and ensure quality standards.
• Prepare and process purchase requests, purchase orders (POs), and other procurement-related documentation.
• Monitor purchase orders, deliveries, and outstanding requests to ensure timely fulfillment.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, price comparisons, and procurement reports.
• Coordinate with the Kitchen, Service, Warehouse, Maintenance, and other departments regarding purchasing requirements.
• Assist in evaluating suppliers based on pricing, product quality, reliability, and delivery performance.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding delayed deliveries, shortages, incorrect items, and product replacements.
• Ensure purchased products meet company quality standards and approved specifications.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse and Finance departments regarding deliveries, invoices, and payment documentation.
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels and coordinating replenishment to prevent operational shortages.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, procedures, and budget requirements.
• Perform other purchasing and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of purchasing or procurement experience in Qatar, preferably in the F&B, restaurant, or hospitality industry.
• Good knowledge of the local Qatar supplier market, purchasing procedures, and procurement practices.
• Experience in sourcing food, beverages, packaging, restaurant supplies, and general operational materials is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, and familiar with purchasing or inventory management systems.
• Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prepare purchase orders, quotation comparisons, and purchasing reports.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
• Professional, reliable, and capable of handling confidential purchasing information.
• Must be locally available in Qatar.
• Ability to join immediately or within a short notice period is an advantage.
