Biomedical Engineer, Medical Service Engineer jobs in Qatar

• Manage and maintain all medical equipment within the hospital.
• Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of medical equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment faults and arrange timely repairs.
• Conduct or coordinate calibration, performance testing, and electrical safety testing.
• Maintain an updated inventory and asset records for all medical equipment.
• Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure medical equipment is safe, functional, and available for clinical use.
• Coordinate with authorized vendors and service providers for repairs, maintenance, calibration, and technical support.
• Review service reports, maintenance records, quotations, and technical specifications.
• Assist in the evaluation, selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning of new medical equipment.
• Conduct acceptance testing of newly installed equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and training to clinical staff on the safe and proper use of medical equipment when required.
• Investigate equipment-related incidents and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Monitor equipment downtime and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
• Ensure compliance with applicable hospital policies, manufacturer recommendations, and Qatar healthcare regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to maintenance, calibration, warranties, contracts, and equipment history.
• Monitor equipment warranties and service contracts and coordinate renewals when required.
• Supervise and guide biomedical engineers, technicians, or other assigned staff.
• Prepare periodic reports on equipment status, maintenance activities, breakdowns, and outstanding issues.
• Participate in hospital inspections, audits, accreditation activities, and emergency preparedness activities as required.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of obsolete or damaged medical equipment in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Perform any other duties related to biomedical engineering as assigned by management.
