Job Description – Arabic Teacher

Position: Arabic Teacher
Department: Arabic / Languages
Reports To: Head of Department / Academic Coordinator / Principal
Employment Type: Full-Time
Curriculum: CBSE / Qatar Ministry of Education requirements

Job Purpose

The Arabic Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering effective Arabic language lessons to students in accordance with the school curriculum, CBSE learning objectives, and applicable Qatar Ministry of Education requirements. The teacher will develop students’ skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, vocabulary and comprehension, while promoting appreciation of Arabic language, culture and literature.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Arabic lessons appropriate to students’ age, ability and learning needs.
  • Follow the school's Arabic curriculum and ensure effective coverage of required learning objectives.
  • Develop students’ proficiency in Arabic reading, writing, speaking, listening and comprehension.
  • Teach Arabic grammar, vocabulary, sentence formation, pronunciation and literature as appropriate to the grade level.
  • Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching resources, worksheets and other instructional materials.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and activities to accommodate different learning abilities and learning styles.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Differentiate instruction and provide appropriate support and enrichment for students with different levels of Arabic proficiency.
  • Conduct regular assessments, quizzes, assignments and examinations to monitor student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, assessment results and academic progress.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and implement appropriate intervention strategies where required.
  • Prepare students effectively for school examinations and CBSE-related assessments.
  • Integrate appropriate educational technology and digital resources into Arabic lessons.
  • Encourage students to develop an appreciation of Arabic language, culture, literature and heritage.
  • Maintain high standards of student behaviour, discipline and academic achievement.
  • Communicate professionally with parents regarding students’ progress, learning needs and areas for improvement.
  • Attend parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, professional development programmes and school events.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and the Arabic Department to develop and improve teaching and learning practices.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities, celebrations and other school programmes when required.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, safeguarding procedures and Qatar Ministry of Education requirements.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties assigned by the Principal, Head of Department or Academic Coordinator.

Pay: QAR4,500.00 - QAR5,500.00 per month
