United Equipment Group, an established heavy equipment and contracting company operating across Qatar and KSA, is seeking a skilled Workshop Mechanic to join our team.

This is a hands-on role for a capable mechanic who diagnoses problems properly, carries out repairs to a high standard, and works in an organized, methodical way. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of light and heavy vehicles and keeping them safe, reliable, and road-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical and related faults accurately before carrying out repairs
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on light and heavy vehicles (engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics, and related systems)
• Carry out thorough inspections and identify faults before they become breakdowns
• Prepare vehicles for FAHES inspection and ensure they meet compliance standards
• Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately and fully for every job
• Work to defined maintenance schedules and follow proper workshop procedures
• Advise on parts required, accurately and without unnecessary replacement
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a vehicle mechanic, ideally with light and heavy vehicles
• Strong diagnostic ability, able to find the root cause, not just replace parts
• Solid knowledge of engines, transmissions, braking, steering, suspension, and hydraulic systems
• Experience with diagnostic tools and reading fault codes is an advantage
• Methodical, thorough, and disciplined with documentation and job cards
• Able to work to maintenance schedules and follow proper procedures
• Experience with heavy equipment, trucks, or construction fleets is a strong advantage
• Valid QID with transferable visa / NOC preferred
