The Building Management System (BMS) Technician is responsible for the operation, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Building Management Systems (BMS) and associated control systems. The role ensures that all building automation systems operate efficiently, reliably, and safely while supporting optimal energy performance and occupant comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor Building Management System (BMS) software on a daily basis.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of BMS equipment and field devices.
• Troubleshoot and repair controllers, sensors, actuators, control panels, and communication networks.
• Monitor HVAC systems, chilled water systems, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems, and associated controls through the BMS.
• Diagnose alarms, system faults, and communication failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Configure, calibrate, and replace field devices including temperature, humidity, pressure, flow, and CO₂ sensors.
• Coordinate with HVAC, Electrical, and Mechanical maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.
• Perform functional testing and commissioning support for new BMS installations and upgrades.
• Monitor building energy performance and recommend improvements to optimize system efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, system logs, and documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with company policies, client requirements, local regulations, and health and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and system failures.
• Support third-party vendors during system upgrades, software updates, and maintenance activities.
• Verify backup and recovery procedures for BMS servers and databases where applicable.
• Assist in maintaining fire alarm, access control, lighting control, and other integrated systems connected to the BMS.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related technical field.
• Technical certification in Building Management Systems or Building Automation Systems is preferred.
• Valid Qatar Driving License is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Experience working in facility management or maintenance services.
• Experience with commercial buildings, hospitals, hotels, airports, malls, or high-rise facilities is preferred.
• GCC experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC control systems and building automation.
• Experience with major BMS platforms such as Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Trane, Delta Controls, or ABB.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and other building communication protocols.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
• Familiarity with PLCs, DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, and VFD integration.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and BMS software applications.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and energy management systems.
