Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university

Responsibilities

Review and assess defect cards, work orders, and resource requirements, such as manpower, materials, spares, equipment for assigned areas.

Receive work permits and organize resources to execute planned and preventive maintenance tasks.

Assist in preparing the scope of work and risk assessments for maintenance activities.

Identify frequently used spare parts and suggest stock inventory levels.

Execute planned inspections, major overhauls, breakdown maintenance, and major repair works.

Mobilize manpower, equipment, and tools on-site to carry out permitted works.

Conduct daily toolbox talks and maintain 4C safety cards.

Report daily on work progress, issues, and resource needs.

Assist in diagnosing faults and breakdowns in plant machinery and equipment.

Provide technical training to the staff, including Qatari nationals, ensuring skill enhancement and compliance with safety standards.

Assist in the inspection of spare parts in the main store and aid fabricators and machinists in developing necessary machine parts.
